How Representation Works

Auditions + Submissions
An audition or submission is your first impression on a client or casting director. How you show up — and how prepared you are — matters before you ever step on set.
VINE submits you for opportunities based on your materials, your availability, and the client's brief. When you receive an audition request, treat it with the same professionalism as a booking.
Every audition is a professional interaction.

Bookings + Availability
A booking is a confirmed professional engagement. Once you are booked, you are committed — to the client, to VINE, and to the project.
Managing your availability accurately is one of the most important things you can do as a working talent. Conflicts, cancellations, and last-minute unavailability damage your reputation and VINE's relationship with clients.
Keep your calendar current. Communicate changes early. Treat every booking as a professional obligation.
How interested is the client?
Avail check — they're considering you.
First hold — you're their first choice.
Confirmed booking — you're on.
Know where you stand before you plan around it.

Payments + Contracts
Understanding how you get paid — and what you're agreeing to — is a core part of working professionally. VINE negotiates your fees and reviews your contracts, but you should understand the terms that govern your work.
Payments in this industry are rarely immediate. Most follow a net payment schedule, and usage fees can arrive long after a shoot wraps. Know what to expect so you're not caught off guard.
Net 90 = Client payment terms.
It is not a guaranteed talent payment date.
Payments take time. That's normal.
Net 90 means up to three months after your shoot date.
Usage fees can arrive separately, sometimes much later.

Creators + Artists
VINE represents talent across a wide range of creative disciplines — including models, actors, photographers, directors, stylists, makeup artists, and digital creators. If your work lives at the intersection of image, identity, and audience, this section is for you.
Creator and artist work often blurs the line between talent and brand. You may be both the subject and the author of your content. That dual role comes with unique opportunities — and unique responsibilities.

Is there an exclusivity clause — and what does it restrict?

Does the compensation reflect the full scope of the ask?
Has VINE reviewed and approved this agreement?
If you can't answer yes to all seven, bring it to VINE before you commit.

Union + Non-Union
Union status affects what work you can take, what rates apply, and what protections you have on set. Understanding where you stand — and what each status means — is essential to managing your career strategically.
VINE works with both union and non-union talent. Neither status is inherently better — each comes with its own opportunities, limitations, and responsibilities. What matters is that you know your status and communicate it accurately.

VINE takes the safety of our talent seriously. We vet clients, review project briefs, and negotiate contracts with your wellbeing in mind. But we are not always in the room with you — which means you need to know your rights, trust your instincts, and communicate with us when something feels wrong.
